Memory Performance

The memory performance is very good – not quite up to spec with the MSI, which has a slightly lower latency and faster raw read memory performance, but both are still faster than the Abit X38 board.



Sisoft Sandra tells a slightly different story where the Gigabyte now outperforms the MSI by quite a margin on average, even though it has a slightly higher latency.

Hard Drive Performance

A 150GB Western Digital Raptor-X Model: WD1500AHFD was used for SATA performance testing.


The hard drive performance of all the boards is identical – there are no incompatibilities or problems here.
